Abel Tasman

Welcome to the Abel Tasman National Park, the only coastal national park in New Zealand and situated at the very top of the South Island. Abel Tasman is predominantly covered by native bush, it has several walking trails and is bordered by crystal clear aqua green/blue waters. It is a pristine, untouched paradise! There are no driving roads and the only access is by walking, light aircraft, boat and water taxis. The Abel Tasman Coast Track follows the coastline and goes through thick bush, hills and beautiful beaches making this wonderful trail one of New Zealand’s “great walks”! Generally, trekkers complete this walk in 3 to 5 days.
